Visit to Parkfield
So this week I went to Parkfield, the remote California hamlet known for its frequent earthquakes. My friend D.V. Rogers has an indescribably ambitious art installation called PIEQF there.

I was charmed by the Parkfield Inn and Cafe: I wasn't expecting much, but vintage scientific equipment fit right in with the Wild West theme.
